Vigyan Jyoti program is a new initiative of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, to bring gender parity in the different fields of Science & Technology (S&T), where females are under-represented. This program was spearheaded at IITJ by Priyanka Singh from 14 May 2018 to 02 June 2018. Thirty female students (after high school) from nearby government schools attended this comprehensive three week residential program in the new campus of IITJ. The activities during the program focused on five aspects, namely Role Models, Society & Life, Health, Competence and Profession & Life.
